All conference sessions on 24 September 2026 will take place in the meeting facilities of the Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile. The hotel is an all-suite property located in the River North / Magnificent Mile district, within walking distance of North Michigan Avenue. Detailed room assignments will be published with the conference programme.
O'Hare International Airport (ORD): approx. 18 miles / 30–50 minutes by car; also reachable
by CTA Blue Line.
Midway International Airport (MDW): approx. 12 miles / 25–40 minutes by car; also reachable
by CTA Orange Line.
Public transport: the CTA Red Line (Chicago and Grand stations) and several bus routes
stop a short walk from the hotel.
Participants are responsible for their own accommodation. Rooms at the venue hotel can be booked directly through the hotel website. As September is a busy period in downtown Chicago, we strongly recommend booking early. Numerous alternative hotels are available within walking distance.
The venue sits in the heart of downtown Chicago, a few minutes on foot from the Magnificent Mile, and close to the Chicago Riverwalk, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art, along with a wide choice of restaurants and cafés.
International participants who need a visa to enter the United States should begin the application process as early as possible. Invitation letters for registered authors can be requested via the contact page. Please note that an invitation letter does not guarantee that a visa will be granted.
INTCEC 2026 is held in a hybrid format. In-person sessions take place at the venue on 24 September 2026, while online sessions are held via Zoom on 25 September 2026. Presenters who cannot travel to Chicago may present virtually. See the registration page for details.
