1. Prepare the paper

  • Write in English, in the IEEE two-column conference format.
  • Use the INTCEC Word template or LaTeX template. The conference header at the top right of the first page is already in it.
  • Do not add page numbers.
  • Six pages are included; each extra page has a fee (see fees).
  • Choose the track that fits best. Interdisciplinary work is welcome — see the track map.

2. Submit through Microsoft CMT

Papers are submitted and reviewed through Microsoft CMT (Conference Management Toolkit). You need a free CMT account. The INTCEC 2027 submission link will appear on this page and in the left column as soon as submissions open.

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.

3. Format check, then peer review

Every new paper first goes through the INTCEC format check, so formatting is settled before peer review and does not hold up a revision later. Follow your paper in CMT by its status:

    Right after you submit, the format checker compares your paper with the INTCEC template. You receive an e-mail with a PDF report: screenshots of your own pages, marked where something must change, with how to fix it.

    Apply the fixes and upload the corrected file in CMT. When it matches the template, the status changes to Paper format checked.

  3. CMT statusUnder review

    Peer review

    The paper goes to the reviewers. Because the format is already right, reviewers can focus on the science.

    Accepted papers move on to registration, the camera-ready file and the IEEE copyright form.

    If a reviewer asks for changes, the status becomes Revision. Upload the revised paper in CMT; it then goes back for a decision.

The faster you apply it, the sooner your paper reaches the reviewers.

Most common fixes at INTCEC 2026

  • Moving the text into the INTCEC template, with the conference header on the first page
  • IEEE-style references and in-text citations
  • Figure resolution, captions and numbering
  • Table captions and layout

Starting from the INTCEC template avoids most of them.

4. Camera-ready paper

  • Revise the paper according to the reviewers' comments. Only papers corrected according to the reviews are considered for the proceedings submitted to IEEE Xplore.
  • At least one author registers for INTCEC 2027 before uploading the final manuscript.
  • Follow the final paper format and make the PDF IEEE-compliant.
  • Add the IEEE copyright notice at the bottom left of the first page. The INTCEC 2027 copyright line will be published here with the camera-ready instructions.
  • Sign the IEEE copyright form (eCF). IEEE e-mails the link from ecopyright@ieee.org — check your spam folder too. One author signs for all authors; a paper without a signed form cannot be submitted to IEEE Xplore.

5. Present

At least one author must register and present the paper at the conference. Papers that are not presented are not submitted to IEEE Xplore. You can present in person in Chicago or online via Zoom.
